DPM understand that there is more to it than obtaining a new system. Since
the system have to be adapted for the users - and not the opposite - it is
important to focus on the users knowledge of the system when it is
implemented. DPM have good experience from many projects where we have
helped customers train the users. Training material is prepared and adjusted
to fit individual user groups, targeted for increased efficiency when the
new system is introduced.
In many occasions is the vendor delivering the system also training the
users. The training is often "subjective" since the vendor is emphasizing
what they mean the users should learn. DPM emphasize giving an
"objective" education, ensuring that the users get a holistic understanding
of the system being a part of the working-day.
Often it is easier for DPM to customize the education in a manner that
meets the target audience requirements since DPM has been working closely to
the users during on the time of acquisition, and therefore know better what
the users needs are.
DPMs products for training is typically:
- A training course adapted to each user group (management, super users,
system managers and other user groups)
- User manuals
- User guides
- Interactive e-Learning
A typical process for implementation of mentoring
arrangements:
- Definitions of high-level objectives and scope of the
mentoring program
- Identification of protégées, mentors and appointment of
steering committee
- Definition of mentor and protégé program
- implementation of the mentor program
- Review and evaluation of the program
